What is Soft Tissue Therapy and Clinical Massage?
Soft tissue therapy is a specialized approach to relieving tension and pain, and facilitating recovery from injury in the body's connective tissues. This therapy employs advanced and targeted massage techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy and assisted stretching to promote healing and improve overall mobility. By targeting specific muscle groups and fascia, soft tissue therapy assists in alleviating discomfort and restoring function. It's an effective treatment option to address musculoskeletal issues and aids in addressing short or longer term pain or injury.
What will treatment involve?
Treatments with Diane often involve hands on techniques like the ones above but may also include postural assessment, muscle strength testing and therapeutic exercises to aid recovery. Your treatment will also include exercise prescription where appropriate. Treatments are tailored to meet your specific goals - whether that be recovering from injury, regaining mobility or working with persistent pain.
